I'm one of those people who usually does not touch vegetables unless it's corn, potatoes, or the occasional raw carrot. The asparagus wasnt bad, but then again, there was so much spice in the gravy on top of my lamb shank that I was eating that it probably covered up whatever asparagus actually tastes like. (my mouth is still burning!)
I think my parents are starting to worry about me, because the other day I ate all the green beans in the Marie Callendar's TV dinner I had the other night. (I half expected my dad to check me for a fever)
I'm a little further along on the Seraphina (SoDarnedFrustrating) shawl...it's starting to look more like the pictures of shawls that I've seen others make with this pattern, so I guess I must finally be doing it right. I might not even have to worry about running out of yarn for this shawl (I only have two skeins of this color) I added a contrasting solid color to break up the busy-ness of the varigaited yarn that I'm using.
Once I find some decent batteries for my digital camera I'll take a picture of the shawl.
I'm trying to decide if I want to put any fringe on the shawl (fringe is usually a waste of good yarn)
I think I'll do another one of these shawls in red, white, and blue.

Awww...I remember having chicken pox when I was 5. It sucked.
We re-arranged some stuff in the house today. Dad's desk and couch from the front room has been moved into the spare room in the basement. Looks GREAT! We're going to turn dad's old office room into a sitting room with a nice tv.
My aunt Jan hired a moving company to move some of her old furniture to my cousin's house in Lincoln. The movers (for a small fee) moved dad's desk, a bookcase and a couch into the basement. We'd never have been able to do that by ourselves.
Sharon will still be able to use the basement room. That's why we put the hide-a-bed couch in the room. Plus, there will probably still be room for an inflatable matress.
It was a space issue for my dad's stuff. He needed a bit more room for his computer and things, so we moved his office into the basement.
In the front room where he had his stuff before, we're going to have several comfy chairs to sit in, and when dad can afford it (later this year, or maybe next summer) we're getting one of those flat tv sets you can hang on the wall.
It's good we moved his stuff into his new office...dad's desk and the couch go better with the carpet in that room than they did in the other room. The room also looks better with furniture in it now. Makes me feel like I'm not the only person in the basement.
