This was tasty!

My dad is starting to cook at home a lot more (we've pretty much burned out on going out to eat) and I've been wanting to learn how to use a crockpot.

This is my dad's latest effort. I didnt participate in making this one because I was asleep when he put tonights dinner together this morning. I did, however, make the biscuits (I took them out of the bag and put them in the oven, and made sure I didnt burn them.)

This is what we had for dinner tonight.

Pictured is a turkey breast, carrots and potatoes and the beginnings of gravy, swimming in the crockpot, about 10 minutes before we had everything dumped on our plates.

Here's a picture of the crockpot, sans turkey breast. You can see the carrots and potatoes basking in the drippy stuff.

And, here is dinner, just before it disappeared.

Mmmmm!!! Dinner!

I'm really starting to enjoy the crockpot. It's nice to put a bunch of uncooked food in a crockpot, turn it on, and walk away for 6 to 10 hours and come back to a pot full of tasty food for dinner.

If the restaurant that we ate Thanksgiving dinner at last November doesnt do another special thanksgiving dinner again this year, this is how we'll be making our turkey dinner. (in a bigger crockpot, with drumsticks and turkey breast...)

We had chicken wings from Sam's. I think they are honey bar-b-qued. Ate while we watched the Super Bowl. It was a great game. Eli was the MVP.
